Polly Moore Parks

September 11, 1915 ~ January 16, 2018 (age 102)

Polly Moore Parks, affectionately known as "Shug", 102, went to heaven on January 16, 2018. Polly was born on the seaside near Taylor's Creek on September 11, 1915. Polly was the youngest child of Capt. Lloyd W. Moore and Peggy J. Moore. Polly worked on the farm next to her brothers and sisters, She worked for the W.P.A.  in the school lunch program during WWII. She worked at Webster's in Cheriton and in her later years she was a personal care assistant for many families in the county. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Parks, in 1975. Polly was the last of a generation of hearty Moore's that will never be matched. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by brothers, Gardner Moore, Curtis Moore, Lloyd Moore, Jr. Claude "Dick" Moore and sisters Viola Moore and Elizabeth "Sweet" Moore. Polly was a very special great Aunt to Harry and Patti Moore of Maine and Janice Williams who was there for Polly until she passed. Thank you for everything Punk.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 18th at 3:00 p.m. at Eastville Baptist Church with the Rev. Peter Surran officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at foxandjamesfh.com  Arrangements by Fox & James Funeral Home, Eastville.
